Need Some Creativity in Your Nursery?

DSC00897.JPG

I am so excited to be able to do another baby’s room. It’s been a while since Jaime and I have had the opportunity to faux a nursery, so to be able to be back in that realm is a great dose of creative inspiration.

Tomorrow, we’ll be working all day glazing some walls for a little baby girl to be. Here are some picture’s of nurseries we’ve done in the past. We’ll be sure to post new one’s after we are done. Be sure to let us know what you think!

For some creative ideas for your nursery, take a look around at some books or artwork that you love. These characters came from fabric the mother used for her babies bedding. We were able to carry the theme into the bathroom to unite the two rooms.

If you have a lot going on in the bedroom, but want to make it extra special, consider a glazed stripe that is neutral.

What are your nursery ideas? How have you made the room special for that little one?

Fabulous! I’ll have to show our baby nursery sometime, it never really got completed before we moved a number of years back. My husband hand painted a scene from The Hobbit on the walls. It was beautiful (something that would’ve taken a life time to finish!). I’ll try to scan it some time to show.

I especially love those stripes!

Happy night!

I once faux painted a train with all the cars being pulled around the ceiling border. Each car was loaded with alphabet letters. Can you imagine how many cars it took?!!!! I never want to paint a train again. LOL
BTW, your work is great.

Christy, you’re right. Those stripes would really get your creative wheels turning in your work room!

Artist - Wow! That is a lot of train cars. I can imagine being spent on the painting trains. I bet you were seeing them in your sleep. I’ve done a play room with a Thomas the Train theme, but I only paint 4 characters. Not so bad!

Painting for little ones is my favorite, they always love to show off their room. I love to paint nature, and paint animals too. Children love color and selecting 2 colors really simplifies and brings a clean zest to the room, green and orange, blue and brown, neutral with white is also clean and easy to live with. Paint away!

Oh, wow. How fabulous! My friend and I used to paint murals for dentist’s offices, so I know the work that is entailed in what you do. I have to tell you that I just love the ducks and the apple tree. So cute!
Thank you for stopping by and visiting my blog. Do you mind if I link to yours from mine? I am about to update my blog favorites and I would love for people who read my blog to be able to visit you.
Take care!

Patricia, I couldn’t agree with you more. The best is hearing my two little nieces talk about how their aunt painted their rooms and seeing the smiles on their little faces:)

Karin, I would love for to add a link to my blog on your page. Thanks so much:) The ducks and tree were so fun to do. We really lost ourselves in the art that day. Thanks so much for the comment.

Oh . . . my . . . word, Melissa! I am squealing with delight about that striped room! I adore it! And such a great idea to use stripes to trick the eye into thinking that this small room is bigger than it really is!

Awesome, girl! :)
