Do Your Shutters Need A Little Attention?

by Melissa Lewis on April 16, 2008

IMG_2109.JPGLast week we gave you a sneak peek on one of the jobs we were working on for our clients, Stacy and Jeff. I must say, this was a fun one!!! We had the privilege of dressing up the nursery walls for the couples soon-to-be little girl along with giving their shutters a little umph! The house looked just fine before, but as you can see, a little attention to detail really can make your home stand out from all the others.

We’ll have picture of the nursery coming soon! The room won’t be complete until the little girl joins the family.

Thank you Jeff and Stacy for letting us “dress up” your home just a little more!

Those turned out great! I love how the greenish blue looks with the house and the foliage…it really brightens the place up!

I see you added your email…YAY!! LOL!

M, thanks so much for coming on over here to our blog & for your kind comment.

The color turned out fabulous in combination with their slurry color. We were all so excited with the end result.

Jen, thanks to you I now have a lovely little email badge created by my wonderful husband:)

I have wanted shutters ever since I built my house 6 years ago. These are beautiful. Do you make shutters or just paint them? I need the whole package. These are definately going on my husbands “to buy ” list. Thanks for sharing, Paula

CC, Thanks so much for the always lovely comments. You are too sweet:)

Paula, we do not make the shutters. The builder usually has them already and then we come in with our paint and faux. I’m glad you like these!!! Shutters really do make a BIG difference on the exterior look of your home. It’s like wearing a necklace and earrings to complete your outfit:)

I love shutters. Particularly when they at least appear that they could actually SHUT (not those faux ones that aren’t even the same size as the windows…). Those are the right shape and the latches are so cute. You did an awesome job on painting them. SUPERB!

Thanks for sharing. I need to start sharing some befores and afters, but so many of my jobs lately are LONG and the afters never seem to come! LOL!

Tiver me shimbers, those shutters are super! Lovely job. Looks like it could be in France, just needs a moat , draw bridge and some very high hedges for privacy!

Thanks Dianne, I can’t wait to get pictures so I can show everyone.

Melissa, Oh my gosh, ME TOO! That is one of our biggest pet peeves, those fake shutters.

Patricia, you always make me laugh with your sweet comments! You should see the decor inside the home. I love it!!!

Dear Melissa - you know the painting of those shutters really has made a difference! Who would have thought?

And Patricia’s comment makes me smile there above :-)

WOW!! Our house looks Awesome, If I do say so myself. It’s hard to really see it until you see the before and after pics. It was so great working with you both and can’t wait to get my kitchen cabinets done, in the near future. I will send pics of the nursery as soon as it’s complete. Thanks for everything!! Stacey
