The Many Beauties of Kim Parker
So once again, I might just be the last person to know about an amazing designer and artist, Kim Parker. I actually have seen some of her work before, I just never knew who was behind the art that I was always drawn to and wanted in my home. Her colors are so vibrant and bold. She’s not afraid to be whimsical and bright!
Now with a new book, Kim Parker Home, she offers an inside view into her creative process. And if you are a visual person like I am, you will love the abundant photos throughout the book.

For some time, I have seen and loved her prints like this one. I just love the mix of colors and the whimsical/bohemian style of her work. And wouldn’t you know, this one is named after one of my favorite colors, Turquoise Garden.
So, as I was searching the web for this print, I found a bundle of little Kim Parker lovelies that I never even knew were available. And wouldn’t you know, I really am in need of them all!
Currently, I am in the process of redecorating my bedroom. Okay, I’ll be completely honest, I am always in the process of redecorating!
I have been on the look out for some colorful, artsy throw pillows to go on my new all white bedding. Are these not perfect? I think I will take several of each one!

But just wait, check out these beautiful rugs! I have been looking for a rug too. No… really! I may just have to wait on one of these, but can’t you just imagine walking on these gorgeous rugs every day?!?!? For more of Kim’s rug design, go on over to The Rug Company.

And just recently, Kim teamed up with Spode and introduced her new dinnerware collection. You can find these at your local Macy’s Department Store.

Wow, do I love that dinnerware. It works perfectly with my dinnerware fetish. Oh, woe is me. Please don’t let me buy another dish.
Her rugs and pillows have the same crewelwork that Anthropologie rugs have. They look very similar. I wonder if she works with that company too.Great colors! Stop trying to make me spend money Mel. ;)

Ok when I saw this post I literally squealed with delight!!!!
You are a GODSEND!
My husband purchased a framed print for me about four years ago and I was never able to figure out who it was…he had told me there was another matching print at the store where he bought it and when I went back…it was, of course, gone.
So here I am keeping an eye out for this mystery artist and I come to your blog and Viola! KIM PARKER! And silly me, I never thought to go to posters.com or something..duh!
Anyway THANK YOU a million for this post! I just purchased two more prints :) and AM very very happy. (all because of you!)

That is so cool to hear. I have so done that very thing before, and there is nothing worse then knowing there is something specific out there you want, but can’t remember where to get it.
Glad to be of some help my dear!
