Part I - Eclectic Cottage Family Room

by Melissa Lewis on June 16, 2008

We’ve shown you this mantel before, but now we can show you the whole room!

We did these walls for our client to give the room a warmer feel in the home. Her house is somewhat of an eclectic cottage style. This room was painted a cream and need a little boost, so we added a bruised faux effect on the walls.

As you can see, the adjoining walls are painted a dark brown, so the glaze on the walls helps to unify the open floor plan!

What do you think? Do you like the walls? Part II of this house is coming up this week, we’ll show you the kitchen cabinets and island!

I love that house and what you have done. I love chocolate in every form…glaze, paint, fabric and of course the edible variety. I can’t wait to see more. Paula

Thanks all! This house is too cool! I’ve talked about the owner a bit before, she owns a store in Mississippi, so you can imagine how cool her whole house looks! Wish I could show it all to you!
