Have You Twittered? No, It’s Not Dirty!

by Melissa Lewis on June 17, 2008

Okay, it took months before my husband Bart finally talked me into creating a blog. And he was right, I do love it. Jaime and I have met & gotten to know some amazing and very inspiring people because we entered into this crazy world of blogging.

Well, Bart did it again. “You need to join Twitter, you will love it!” “I need to join WHAT,” I said immediately.

So I checked it out… and guess what… he was right! I found some old friends I can now communicate with instantly. I found new friends and still finding new friends. It was so easy and took no time at all. And best of all, you don’t even have to be a techy to understand how to join.

Click here if you want to be in the know up to the second of what I’m up to. I’m going to get Jaime in on this too someday!!!

On another note…

What do you think of my chair? Jaime and I are constantly and maybe obsessively checking our local thrift stores, junk stores and flea markets for treasure. Jaime saw this on the side of the road awaiting the garbage truck. Seeing the hidden potential it had, of course she snatched it up just for me! I wish I had a picture of what it looked like originally. Just imagine dirty, crumbly and almost rotting away. Now it’s one of my favorite items in my home! Thanks Jaime!

I’ve been meaning to check out twitter…but it seems like another thing to add to my plate!

Gorgeous chair!! Do you get to keep it for yourself?!?!

Melissa Lewis 06.17.08 at 9:58 pm

Jen, you especially should do it since you have the iPhone. It doesn’t really add anything to your plate. I promise!

Yeah, I could sell this at the show we do in the fall, but I don’t think I can part from it.

Blogging is as technical as I get right now, although I have to admit this “twitter” thing peeks my interest.

Oh and can we please talk about this chair! So wonderful! I actually think it may look better in my house. I love it!

GREAT chair!!!

I keep hearing about Twitter. I’ve yet to do anything about it, however. Apparently it’s something I should check out?

I love that chair! Great redo.

I just started suscribing to blogs and now there’s something else to check out! I’m already on this thing WAY too much as it is.

I started to Twitter, but then got consumed with other web services…so taking a break for now. But, it is pretty neat to get into if you have friends on there. Love your chair!

Mrs. French, you’re sweet. Just don’t I’m ready to part with it yet!

Karen, always be alert when in a car. You’ll be surprised with the goodies you might come home with.

This chair is so fun and fab! I wish I had your talent for transforming things like this.

I have friends who keep trying to talk me into this Twitter thing. I’m always the last person to try anything technical (case in point: I may have been the last person on the planet to start a blog!). -Julia :-)

Trina, you should take the time to look at Twitter, it literally just takes a few seconds. It will help your blog out too.

Can’t wait to see the door!

I can’t believe what people throw away. It’s a beautiful chair! Thank you for your kind words over at my blog. I am up and about and having withdrawal symptoms from my blog friends. I have created a monster! A-M xx

How nice! I am amazed at the eye for beauty that some can find on the side of the road! Very inspiring. Kind of makes me want to go and look for hidden treasures too. :)

What a beautiful find. The color and finish are fantastic! Doesn’t it just make for a great day when you unexpectedly stumble upon something like this?!

bandelle 06.23.08 at 2:54 pm

I still haven’t joined Twitter but it’s on the To Do list. This chair must feel so much better — all spruced up with love and flair from you!

melissa @ the inspired room 06.24.08 at 11:58 pm

I’m glad you reminded me. I forgot what it was called (ie. the blog address!) so I haven’t been twittering lately. Last time I remembered what it was called but I forgot my password. I guess I am not a very devoted twitterer.

Ok, now I am asking for people to share something over at my blog and I am sure you will have some great ideas to throw in the pot. Pop on by when you can!
