Today’s inspiration - Cool Turquoise!

untitled.jpg

I spent this weekend going through my endless stacks of magazines that I have been saving for inspiration. Some lovely friends of mine encouraged me to tear out the sheets I liked and file them in a binder or an accordion file. This was hard for me to do at first, I felt like I was defacing my magazines. But once I got started, it made so much since. To be able to organize everything and go to it quickly… why didn’t I do this sooner? Thanks ladies;)

So while doing this, I found this amazing company, Marjorie Skouras Design. I simply began to drool when I went to her website and laid eyes on this (1) room designed by MS. Oh, all the colors… GORGEOUSLY ARTISTIC & CHIC! And I would die for this (2) Turquoise Empire Chandelier. It would go perfectly in my brown dining room with new table I just made! Head on over to her website to view more of her projects and products.

And while I am on my turquoise kick, is this (3) Seize The Day Tee not just adorable? J.Crew has got a great line of tee’s this season with messages such as this one and other that I have to love and have to get.

So what do you think? Too much turquoise for you? Or just the right amount!!!!!!!

Those are pretty! I have to be careful about adding too much of this color around, but I’m loving the lighter aqua shades right now.

Thanks for stopping by to see me!

Rhoda, I am having to watch the turquoise overload in my own home as well. I love it and can’t stop bringing it in:)

I love those shades of turquoise, teal and aqua…I don’t have any really in my apartment, but now I want to find a way to add some!

Great color selections. I need to organize my magazines too, but also feel a little bad about ripping them up!

I haven’t reached the point of “too-much turquoise” yet. I’m still loving it and keep buying more. It’s all over my kitchen and family room this summer. Soon it’ll be time to replace it with all the orange-y fall stuff and I hate to see it go!!

What a great chandelier, by the way. It’s like jewelry. -Julia

Love the color and love the chandelier and the shirt (and the skirt too, really). J Crew has really made a turn around in recent days and everytime I go in that store I want way more than I can manage. PS- I was over at your site and you guys have some lovely new things and pictures.. I love the “turquoisey” island it kind of gives me an idea of what my front door might look like with the glaze. I think you should offer an online/video class of the glazing technique. I’d pay for that!!!!!
