who knew?
Jaime and Melissa teamed up in 2004, not even realizing the connection they had between the two of them. But the two knew instantly that God had something strange and unchartered planned for them. Jaime’s brother is the pastor at the church Melissa’s husband served on staff as the Student Pastor at, and the two of them had not even met. Meanwhile, after Jaime earned her degree in Business, she began a successful and busy career in the faux finishing industry over 10 years ago. While Jaime was living out her calling, Melissa was earning a degree in Fashion Merchandising. After graduating, she began working as a human resources assistant…not so much her dream job. Knowing there was something more, Melissa quite her job to pursue her love for something more creative.
That’s when a friend told her to call Jaime. Luckily, she needed the help and decided to hire Melissa and train her in the skills of the faux world. Beyond working incredibly well together, an immediate friendship was born and the two became business partners soon after.

still dreaming...
In 2006, Melissa and Jaime decided to spend more time working on projects that would make their souls sing. Many hours of blood, sweat, and tears (literally) were put in so that Off The Wall could realize their dream of a product line that would rival any other. Using Jaime’s dad’s workshop and tools, they plugged away at making frames and home furnishings out of salvaged wood, moldings and vintage items. They put their “spin” on creating one of a kind pieces of art. Each frame is hand built, by the two, and custom finished with colors and artwork that is carefully picked for each piece, no two are truly alike.
The response to their products has been incredible and their products can be purchased in many stores throughout the south. In addition to stores, Off The Wall products can be purchased throughout the year at trade shows and online from this site.
